Step 1: Invite MEE6 to your Discord server

First, go to the MEE6 website and invite the bot to your server. The invitation process for all bots is the same, but remember that your Discord account needs to have the “Manage Server” or “Administrator” permission for the server in order to invite the bot. Otherwise, you won’t be able to send an invitation.

Additionally, before inviting the bot, you need to log in to your Discord account. If you’re not logged in, the system will redirect you to the Discord login interface.

Step 2: Enable RSS Feeds plugin

After successfully inviting the MEE6 bot to the server, go to the MEE6 website‘s backend to enable the “RSS Feeds” plugin. To disable this plugin later, use the same method to turn off RSS Feeds.

Before enabling, a confirmation window will appear. Click “Activate RSS Feeds” to enable this plugin.

Step 3: Set up RSS Feeds plugin

You will then enter the configuration page for RSS Feeds. Click “Create my RSS Feed” to set up a new RSS content tracking, with a maximum of 10 sets allowed.

In the RSS content tracking menu, there are 2 options that need to be configured:

Option 1 – RSS Link: Fill in the blank with the RSS link for which you want to receive notifications. The system will display search results, and you need to select the result provided by the system to complete the setup.

Option 2 – Post in channel: Choose the Discord channel where you want to see notifications for the latest posts. If you have created a new Discord channel while accessing the MEE6 web backend, remember to press F5 to refresh the page or wait a few minutes before trying again. This will ensure that the newly created Discord channel appears as an option.

If you need to modify an existing RSS content, simply click on the desired RSS content. In the middle, there is a “Status” that indicates whether the RSS is still operational. To delete the configuration of a specific RSS content, click on the three dots on the right side.
