This enables all members of Discord servers to stay updated with the latest information. This article will explain how to use the MEE6 bot to receive livestream notifications from a specified Twitch account.
Introduction to the MEE6 Bot

Reddit Alerts Plugin Setup Tutorial
Step 1: Invite MEE6 to your Discord server
First, go to the MEE6 website and invite the bot to your server. The invitation process for all bots is the same, but remember that your Discord account needs to have the “Manage Server” or “Administrator” permission for the server in order to invite the bot. Otherwise, you won’t be able to send an invitation.
Additionally, before inviting the bot, you need to log in to your Discord account. If you’re not logged in, the system will redirect you to the Discord login interface.

Step 2: Enable Reddit Alerts plugin
After successfully inviting the MEE6 bot to your server, go to the Mee6 website‘s backend and enable the “Reddit Alerts” plugin. You can use the same process to disable the Reddit Alerts plugin if needed.

Before activation, a confirmation window will appear. Click “Activate Reddit Alerts” to enable this plugin.

Step 3: Set up Reddit Alerts plugin
You will then be taken to the configuration page for Reddit Alerts. Click on “New subreddit” to set up a new subreddit to track.

In the subreddit tracking menu, there are 3 options that need to be set:
Option 1 – Subreddit name: Enter the name of the subreddit for which you want to receive notifications in this field. The system will display search results, and you need to select the account provided by the system to complete the setup.
Option 2 – Embeds: Reddit notifications can be displayed in two formats. The first is Compact Embeds, which only includes the post title and author’s name. The second is Wide Embeds, which provides more details about the post, such as images and text.
Option 3 – Post in channel: Choose the Discord channel where you want to receive the notifications for these latest posts. If you created a new Discord channel while accessing the Mee6 web backend, remember to press F5 to refresh the page or wait a few minutes before trying again. This ensures that the newly created Discord channel appears as an option.

If you want to modify a previously set subreddit, simply click on the desired subreddit. To delete the configuration for a specific subreddit, click on the three dots on the right side.
